Pistol education
Step one is learning the firearm itself. The block covers safe storage and maintenance, ammunition choices, how the handgun functions, and the problems that show up most often. It is the foundation for everything after it.
Pistol courses require a valid permit to purchase or a valid permit to carry. A loaner pistol is available for Pistol 1 if you do not yet own one.

8 hours
For students who already understand firearm safety, can operate their handgun, and are familiar with maintenance. The day covers a shooting stance, grip, sight picture, trigger press, reloading, malfunctions, and drawing from the holster. Everyday-carry issues are included: clothing, and the other equipment a Ready American will want during ordinary days.
8 hours · after Pistol 1
Built on the skills from Pistol 1. The day increases weapon presentation and target-acquisition speed and adds close-quarters work and weapon retention. Move to Pistol 2 only after the Pistol 1 skills are proficient, not merely familiar.
About 6 hours · at night · after Pistol 1
For students who have completed Pistol 1 or have solid basic pistol skills. The course is run at night.
