As your instructor, I will share lessons and experience gained through my combined military and law enforcement service of more than 20 years. I started my military career as a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division and later worked as a Sergeant in a combat engineer battalion. I had the opportunity to serve on two combat deployments to Afghanistan. During my law enforcement career, I have served as a Police Officer, Chief of Police, and Deputy Sheriff. From my military and law enforcement service I have had a multitude of advanced trainings listed below. I have had the opportunity to train multiple law enforcement agencies and personnel. I would like to teach you what I have learned about the safe and effective deployment of firearms, for your personal defense, with my firearms instruction classes and what I have learned about home protection and security, from a law enforcement perspective, with my home security class. During my service to America and its communities I have gained a wealth of knowledge on these topics. I would like to pass on that knowledge to you so you're Ready when the need arises.
I have been a Law Enforcement firearms instructor since 2017. I have trained and continue to train current and retired law enforcement officers. I have trained officers in multiple areas of weapons use from basic to advanced. Throughout my career I have continued to advance my knowledge base to better assist the communities I serve, and the law enforcement officers I train. Americans have seen violence escalating and my conversations and interactions with Americans has given me the impression that many Americans are feeling uneasy with what they have been seeing. You are not alone in those feelings. Gun ownership is rapidly climbing and there are many new gun owners. I would like to use my experience and training to assist you. I would like to teach you to excel and increase the odds for success, should you find yourself in a dangerous encounter. My training and experience is not limited to firearms. During my career in law enforcement, I have worked with many victims of various crimes like burglary, assault, sexual assault, robbery, identity theft, and scams. I would like to help you combat these incidents and reduce the number of people that become victims.
In 2018, I tossed around the idea to start a business and offer one on one and small group trainings, which vary from firearms safety, use, to ideas on securing your home and ways to help detect, deter, and defend against criminal activity. Because of our technological age there is a wealth of information available on these topics with a click of a mouse. However, at times the information available is overwhelming, misleading, or all together incorrect. Having someone there to help get you started and help point out ideas can be helpful. I know there are many that would like training in the areas I am experienced in and they may not be able to travel to reach a trainer. My goal is to travel to areas around my location and meet with those Americans who would like training and advice in the areas I teach. I understand that not everyone can travel to a range near the instructor to receive lesson from the trainer they selected. With that in mind I would like to, whenever possible, travel to you.
Some of the training and experience I have received through service in the Military and Law Enforcement is listed below:
Learn the skills that you may need to survive the storms life throws at us.
I have been a licensed Police Officer since June of 1997. I have had a love of firearms since taking firearms safety as an eleven-year-old. In April of 2001 I became an NRA trained pistol and shotgun instructor. In this capacity I taught use of force, pistol, and shotgun use to new Police Officers as well as yearly use of force and requalification to current Police Officers. I also was trained as a Glock armorer to maintain Police Department owned pistols. I implemented the patrol rifle purchase and deployment for my Police Department. As a Police Officer I have investigated many thefts, burglaries, sexual assaults, and assisted the MN Bureau of Criminal Apprehension in investigating a double homicide. I have interviewed many crime victims and interrogated many criminal suspects. These experiences have given me a wealth of knowledge ond personal safety, home security, and defensive measures. In the fall of 2023 Ryan approached me with the idea of being a contracted instructor for his established business. I rapidly (pun intended) agreed, and I am eager to put my experiences and knowledge to use to further your firearm knowledge.
A few of the trainings that I have attended in my 27 years of Law Enforcement are as follows:
