Pistol education and safety training is step 1 in learning your firearm and is the foundation for personal defense. During this course I will cover how to safely store, and maintain your firearm. Pistol 1 is an 8-hour course for students that already have a solid understanding of firearm safety, understand how to operate their handgun, and are familiar with weapon maintenance. This pistol training course covers a shooting stance used for shooting and close quarters engagements, grip, sight picture, trigger press, reloading, weapon malfunctions, and drawing from the holster. I will discuss EDC issues to consider such as clothing, and other equipment a Ready American will want to have with them during day to day operations for personal defense.
Pistol 2 is an 8-hour course built off the skills I teach in Pistol 1. During this pistol training course, I will help you increase weapon presentation and target acquisition speed. I will help you increase your 1st shot and follow up shot speed while remaining on target. Weapons are tools and do malfunction, which is why I will teach you how to recognize the malfunction and increase your ability to get your weapon back into the fight. This course also involves learning emergency reloads and tactical reloads. I discuss cover vs concealment. I will teach you how to operate your handgun while using cover. This training is one of many essential steps to building your personal defense skills.
